2nd Quarter Focus Standards ELA & Math
1st Grade          2nd Grade          3rd Grade          4th Grade

ELA Focus: Students will determine the author's stated nad implied purpose (entertain, inform, persuade).  The student will infer whether a story is narrated in the first or third point of view in grade-level literacy and/or informational text.  Student will write a narrative incorporating characters, plot, setting, point of view and conflict solution and resolution. Benchmark Unit 4.

Math Focus:  3rd Grade will review 3.N.1 Compare and represent whole numbers up to 100,000 with an emphasis on place value and equality. Students will determine the author's stated and implied purpose (entertain, inform, persuade) Students will determine the author's stated and implied purpose (entertain, inform, persuade)
3rd and 4th Grade will be taking a Common Assessment to track progress on these particular standards the week of December 16th - 20th.
1st and 2nd Grade - we will be talking about how to proceed during PLC meetings this week.

Shout out to Ms. D. Harris.  72% of her students increased in their percentile ranks on the November reading test!  13% of her students are a shade of green, 65% are yellow, and 22% are still red.  She is down to 5 students in red and 2 left to test.  I can't wait to see how the rest of Coolidge scores!  Please be sure you have students log in and test Monday as we will be moving magnets and digging into the data.




Shout out to Ms. D. Harris.  She has acknowledged 87% of her Priority Alerts in IStation!  100% of her students with a priority report have received an intervention.  Students will multiple intervention reports have received at least 66% of them.  Thank you, Ms. Harris!


Ms. Hensley has acknowledged 35% of Priority Alerts in IStation for Math.  6 of her students have had multiple alerts and have 100% of them acknowledged.  Thank you, Ms. Hensley,

4th Grade Coolidge Students have mastered 557 Power Focus Areas!
Frankie McElfresh has mastered 10 Power Focus Areas, Uziel Garcia has mastered 9, Alejandro Araus and Isabella Maaseen have mastered 8, Jose Lopez, Cesar Meza, John Gabriel have all mastered 7!
