Coolidge -- Coolridge. Close enough?

Every 4th grader at Coolidge got 3 tickets to the Oklahoma City Blue basketball game tonight. They won these tickets by reading the most minutes on Myon, our online reading program. Way to go, 4th grade crocodiles! Our great 4th grade teachers deserve a pat on the back as well---- Ms Harden, Mrs Kappel, Ms Russell, and Ms Navarro.

  1. I have a wonderful staff that has been very supportive after the micropreemie birth of my new grandsons. The school is moving forward with exciting things happening. 4th grade was able to go to a Thunder Blue Game (Thank you Ms. Peake for organizing that!) PreK had the police come to visit. Thank you to the Math Committee for putting together a fun math night. There is another Botball competition coming up at Jackson Enterprise.

  4. 1. The Coolidge family showed me lots of grace and support this week as I tried to fill big shoes in Melissa's absence.
    2. Some of the talk I heard today as teachers were acknowledging great things their colleagues are doing renewed my spirit!
    3. I had some really good conversations this week with kids and parents about communication skills, making positive choices, and emotional regulation. I don't expect any one conversation to be a game changer, but it felt as if the kids were really listening and trying to be reflective.
    4. Our staff offers the kids so many opportunities because they are willing to give freely of their time and effort. Robotics, PAL sports, PTA, Honor Choir, Student Council, Math Night, Book Fair, tutoring, Thunder games... it goes on! I am so grateful for our students that they have these opportunities.
    5. Really enjoyed getting to spend time with our ICs and learn more about what they do. Both ICs have been so helpful to me and I'm considering a coaching cycle myself!
    6. Getting super excited for our Feb. 13 PDDay! We have some great sessions lined up and I wish I wasn't presenting so I could get to see more of everyone else's sessions!

I did more than three because I'm an overachiever (and indecisive).
