November 21 (Thanksgiving Week)

  • Monday: Native Dance Troupe Dancing 1:00 PK - 2nd, 2:00 3rd - 6th.
  • Tuesday: Super Tooth Lady will visit younger grades.  Complete Running Records Trackers please.
  • Wednesday:  No School
  • Thursday:  No School
  • Friday:  No School

Thankful for turkey once a year


I am thankful for...New teachers and faculty to the Coolidge team this year including:  Ms. Skaggs, Ms. Briggs, Mr. Sam, Ms. Lucy, Ms. Tucker, Ms. Leeson, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Boring, Ms. Smith, Ms. Saxon, Ms. Jackson, Ms. McNeill, Ms. Navarro, Ms. Russell, Ms. Kelsey, Ms. Hickman, Ms. Hobza, Ms. Metz, and Ms. Duty.

I am thankful for Coach Barton and Coach Baker for helping us get an Action Based Learning Lab.

I am thankful for Ms. Harden, Mr. Spitzer, Ms. Opheim for being our Lead Teachers for Math, ELA, and Science.

I am thankful for Ms. Helmick and Ms. Skaggs for joining our team as Instructional Coaches.

I am thankful for being able to capture and share the growth of our students with teachers, parents, staff, and administrators. 

But mostly I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such an awesome staff every day of the year!

Fourth Grade has FINISHED 4,400 BOOKS!  Alya Ashley (Ms. Harden's 4th grade class)  has read for over 20 hours!  She was followed closely by Joel Algander (also Ms. Harden's class) with over 17 hours.    Marcus Flores has finished 159 books and Jonathan Portillo has finished 179 books.

To Develop Every Child Into a Reader:
  • Everyday a child reads something they choose to read.
  • Every child reads accurately.
  • Every child reads something they understand.
  • Every child writes something that is personal and meaningful daily.
  • Every child talks with peers about reading and writing.
  • Every child hears an adult reader read fluently.
Coolidge Elementary Academic Goals for 2016-2017
  • All Students WILL achieve academically.
  • Reading:  Increase reading proficiency by at least one grade level.
  • Math:  Increase math achievement by 10% with 80% mastery of math facts on grade level.  
  • Writing:  Increase writing proficiency by 15%
  • Student Attendance:  Increase student attendance to 98%.
  • Increase Faculty Attendance to 98%
