Looking at our IStation Data for the building we are making slow but steady progress.  The information below includes students in Levels 3, 4, or 5 for Kinder to 4th grade.  Classroom teachers, please be sure that you are monitoring  Priority Reports to see who might need some additional interventions to fill in gaps so students are able to master the State Standards.  The window is now open to begin taking the February assessment.  It is the expectation that these will be completed and you will be able to discuss your data and your grade level goals during PLC meetings.

Planning to Close the Achievement Gap
Be sure you have checked out the Marzano resources for Planning to Close the Achievement Gap as it WILL be evaluated this time.  You MUST include who you are specifically targeting and what your strategies are for those students.  Plans will identify specific formative assessments designed to demonstrate mastery of each target and include a process for helping students track their individual progress on the learning targets.
Planning to Close the Achievement Gap Using Data requires deep knowledge of individual students' strengths and weaknesses and intentionally developing a process to address the needs of all students.  Monitoring techniques should be determined and intentionally planned to provide data showing each student including EL, SPED, Gifted,

Happy Birthday
