Please be in the gym for Rise N Shine by 8:00 a.m. prior to the doors being closed for the Pledge of Allegiance. Ms. Werito's class will lead Rise N Shine. Our word of the week is SKILL.
Practice 5: Critical thinking skills are taught.
- Use brain-friendly teaching strategies including novelty, movement, actions, and music to engage learners' brains. Change activities frequently within he learning times.
- Use wisdom literature that encourages learners to draw conclusions, analyze cause and effect, examine opposite points of view, evaluate circumstances, weigh consequences, etc.
- Ask great questions! Encourage learners to ask great questions!

The 2nd
Annual OKCPS Student Technology Showcase is almost here! Oklahoma
City Public Schools Board of Education, staff, families, and community members
will experience firsthand from students how technology is transforming learning
and preparing them to be college and career ready.
This Call for Proposals for the 2016 Student Technology Showcase!
From a small group of students demonstrating something awesome they do
(or have done) with technology in your classroom to a Student Technology Club showcasing
robots they have built, ALL proposals are welcomed and encouraged.
The
showcase will be Monday, May 16th from 4:45 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. at the Oklahoma
City Public Schools Administration Building. The main floor of the
administration building will be set up with tables and small, open spaces for a
come-and-go showcase (similar to a science fair or gallery-walk). Both
you and your student presenters will need to be present for the entire
showcase.
If you are
interested in showcasing your students, please click here to
complete the simple proposal form no later than Friday, April 8th. All
proposals will receive a response by Friday, April 15th.
