Week At A Glance:
22nd Monday:  Normal Day, Pat Watson Hunt here 8:00 - 10:00 a.m., Meeting with North Care 10:00 a.m.  Room check for testing in 5th grade classroom, ELL classrooms.  Mr. Christian will test in the small office in the library.  
23rd Tuesday:  4th and 5th will switch specials times for this day due to the 5th Grade State Writing Test.  Please meet with your PLC groups and turn in your notes to Mrs. Brett or Ms. Carmer.  Please include Reading Math, and Science objectives as well as steps for student engagement.
Please refrain from using the 5th grade hallway on Tuesday morning as these students will be testing.  Remember the ELL classrooms will also be in use for testing.

27th Saturday:  Early Birds at Coolidge.  PreK, K, 1st, and 2nd classrooms could be used.  Please be sure your rooms are ready for extra people.  Put away   The building will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.


Reminder:  
Faculty meetings are for faculty and staff.  Children are not to be in the faculty meeting as confidential information could be included and/or the information is not appropriate for them to know.  Please make arrangements for your children to wait for you in your classroom or with others during our meetings.  Thank you.

OCCT Writing Test for 5th grades starts Tuesday, February 23rd.  
OCCT testing for grades 3 – 6 starts April 11th.  
When whole group testing takes place, the small group students will go to their buddy teacher until the whole group testing is over.

April 18 – Small groups a.m.,, p.m. makeup tests
April 19 – 20  3rd – 5th Math, small groups p.m. make up tests
April 21 5th Social Studies, small groups a.m., p.m. make up tests
April 22nd – April 30th  Small groups, makeup’s.

Think Thru Math:
42% of Coolidge students have finished 30 or more lessons on Think Thru Math.  56% of lessons have been passed on grade level.

MyOn:
2.17.16  1,271 hours have been spent reading using MyOn.

Coolidge Elementary Academic Goals for 2015-2016
  • All Students WILL achieve academically.
  • Reading:  Increase reading proficiency by at least one grade level.
  • Math:  Increase math achievement by 10% with 80% mastery of math facts on grade level.  
  • Writing:  Increase writing proficiency by 15%
  • Student Attendance:  Increase student attendance to 98%.
  • Increase Faculty Attendance to 98%
  • Decrease suspensions by 25%.
